The Whippoorwill Festival celebrates our Appalachian heritage and traditions while helping prepare our minds and bodies for a future world of climate change and a decreased supply of fossil fuels.  Together we are building a community and working toward creating a society that will be more resilient in the face of climate change and upcoming resource shortages.

The Band Interstellar Transmissions from Austin routinely cruise the streets of New Orleans at Mardi Gras providing a bus load of fun.

The Petrol Free Gypsy Tour is a music & art tour covering 450 miles across Virginia by bicycle over a 2 week period.  I drove the support vehicle (the NOmadjik Veggie Powered Bus).

Part 2 covers crossing Afton Mountain, Twin Oaks Commune and shows in Richmond & Charlottesville.

On the tour, musicians carry only the essential instruments from city to city on their bicycles. At each venue, amplifiers and other large or heavy equipment are provided by a local band.
